Instead, we opt for playful prompts that bring laughter, create natural movement, and help you to feel comfortable and confident. While we chase the golden light and run through fields, we'll focus on capturing your interactions and the spark that started your love story. This time spent together is so valuable, which is why every wedding package includes an engagement session. It builds our relationship and trust (see below), so you feel completely comfortable by the time your wedding day comes. You've probably never been photographed by a professional, and that is 100% okay - most of our couples haven't. We're here to make the process simple and fun! During moments in-between our prompts, we'll give you space to interact, steal kisses, giggle about that silly thing you just did, snuggle up, and live in the moment. By the end of your session, you'll leave feeling like you've just made a friend. When you invest in us, you'll walk away with so much more than just quality photos. The last thing you want is a complete stranger showing up on your wedding day! This fact is wild but true: you'll likely spend more hours on your wedding day with your photographer and wedding party than with your new spouse. Make sure you spend those hours with people who make you feel supported, safe, understood, and heard. Having complete trust in one another will help us tell your story more genuinely. While all wedding vendors play an essential role in bringing your vision to life, after the day has come and gone, your photos are what remain. Our pricing is based on our time spent with you capturing your day and on time spent behind the scenes, learning to serve our couples even better, professional equipment and software, editing, and all other costs for running a business. We're here to tell you: investing in quality is worth it, and down the road, you'll be so thankful you did. We are happy to offer flexible payment plans to help you out.

No. Your photos will be delivered as high-resolution JPEG files, edited in our signature style. By investing in us as your photographers, you're also investing and trusting in our editing expertise.
Your wedding gallery will include EVERY photo from your day that is not a duplicate, under/overexposed, blurry, closed eyes, etc. We take the time to sort through your photos and deliver all the best ones. Rest assured, we will never keep a beautiful image from you or limit your gallery to a certain number!
On average, engagement session galleries typically include 100-150 images. For 10 hours of wedding photography, we usually deliver 1,000-1,200 photos.
This question is common and often a bit misguided. Copyright is the right to copy, but that is not necessary for most people to utilize their photos. We remain the owners of the copyright, as the original creators of the product. We do not grant others the right to alter or copy our original work. However, you will have printing rights and a print shop in your gallery, as well as the ability to share your photos on social media to your heart's content!
No. You cannot remove things like an engagement session or a second photographer from any package to reduce its price. Even if you choose not to utilize your engagement session, the package price remains the same. However, if you need a custom amount of hours for your package, like 7 or 9, we are happy to create a custom package for that reason.
Yes! For weddings, a 20% non-refundable retainer is required upon contract signing to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding. You are welcome to log in and make payments any time between now and then (for example, you could make payments monthly).
For convenience, all payments are processed online through Stripe. My client portal makes it easy to pay via credit/debit or bank transfer.
This has never happened, and I truly hope it never does! I will do everything in my power to make sure I'm there on your wedding day. However, if I truly cannot be there, I have an excellent network of other talented local photographers I can contact to step in. A situation like this would be handled on a case-by-case basis!

YES, I love dogs! If you plan to, let me know ahead of time, so I can make sure the location allows dogs, and please try to bring a friend or family member to take the dog(s) while we're doing photos of just you two lovebirds! Having that person hold treats above my head helps too :)
Of course! Over the years, I've learned a lot about what photographs best, and I'm happy to give feedback on your ideas! Most importantly, I want you to feel like yourselves. If a dress and heels or a suit isn't your vibe, wear what makes you feel comfy & confident!
We can totally reschedule your engagement session if the weather looks bad. For a wedding day, we roll with the punches and adjust as needed! I always have several clear umbrellas in my car just in case, and we can move to a covered/indoor area if we need to!
